Tassie Towner

Our Beloved Tassie crossed over the Rainbow Bridge on June 27, 2018. She was born on April 8, 2002 on a farm in Frankton, Indiana. Her nicknames were "Baby', "Pumpkin", "Boo", Tiki", and "Sweetpea". She came to live with us for over 16 wild and wonderful years. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by her human parents, Russ and Sharron Towner, her human siblings, Tracie (Ryan) Mariner and Terri (Kevin) Beher. Other relatives include, Earlene, Ken, Aunt Linda and Uncle Jim. Her pet siblings include, Socks, Summer, Scotty, Tabby and Fatty. Tassie was one of a kind. She was a big Bichon weighing at least 22 pounds most of her life. She was very smart, strong and always hungry. She would get in and out of trouble all the time. She could break out of any cage she was in and could open the kitchen gate with her teeth to go find Mom. She would pull placemats off the kitchen table so the plates would fall on the floor and she could eat the food. She once ate a dozen chocolate chip cookies and threw up on the bedroom carpet. The stain is still there. She pulled a chair across Tracie's dining room and put a hole in the wall. She slept between Mom and Dad every night and she especially loved her Mom, following her around the house all day. Tassie loved to eat, sleep, go for long walks, gt belly rubs, and go to her Florida condo in the winter. Her favorite foods were pizza, popcorn, peanut butter, ice cream, and mini donuts eaten with her dad every morning. Actually, she would eat just about anything except olives and lemons. Her favorite toys included food stuffed kong, rawhide chewy toys and any toy with food in it. Tassie did not like to go to the Vet, although they took good care of her which helped her have a long healthy life. She also did not like to take a bath because she did not like to get water in her eyes. We were blessed to have Tassie in our lives and know that God will allow us to be together again in Heaven someday. The Towner Family FAVORITE MEMORIES OF TASSIE TOWNER - She tried to bite Terri's face off in the back seat of the car on the way home after buying her at the puppy farm. - She snapped at Kevin's face because she was protecting Terri. - She barked at the mantel at Christmas because she knew her treats were up there. - She slipped downstairs and ate Ryan's protein powder out of his suitcase on his first visit to our house. - She ate her way out of soft cage in the car. - She howled and barfed at Terri's house because she missed her Mom. - She ate a huge bone at Christmas and then pottied in Tracie's bedroom. - She escaped from Tracie out the front door of the condo because she was looking for her Mom. - She could break out of her metal cage at home and the condo. We had to put extra clips on the door of the cage to keep her in. - She sucked a plastic bag with cheese into her cage and ate it in the car on the way to the condo. - She ate a Frosty and the cup that it came in. - She got a new bed for Christmas and jumped into it before we could get it unwrapped. - She got matching PJs with Terri for Christmas. They both looked great!! - She was tied to a dining room chair at Tracie's while we were packing the car to go home. She pulled the chair across the room and put a hole in the drywall. - She checked out every room and every corner in every new house, apartment, and hotel we visited. - She wore a new costume for every Halloween. - She jumped up at the dining room table to see what food was on our plates. - She pulled the Subway bag off the kitchen counter and ate the sandwich. - She stole a sandwich off Earlene's lap on the balcony at the condo and ate the whole thing. - We would put her ice cream on the balcony at the condo and she would immediately take it back inside because the cup would not slip on the carpet making it easier for her to eat. - After eating her dinner, she would wipe her face clean on the furniture or on our bed skirts. - She would get mad if you stopped petting her. - She liked to sleep upside down in the chair with Mom. - She slept on her back a lot. - She slept on or with Mom's slippers in the kitchen. - She would lay on anything we put on the floor - sheets, clothes, towels, cloths, etc. - One time she laid inside a suitcase we had on the floor because she wanted to sure we wouldn't forget to take her wherever we were going. - She would scoop up the throw pillows with her head and knock them off the couches at home and the condo. - She could open the kitchen gate with her teeth. - She destroyed every indestructible chew toy we bought for her. - She slept between Mom and Dad in bed every night. Most of the time on the center pillow. - When she was a puppy, she would fall between the bed headboard and the mattress and get stuck. - Overall, she was smart, strong, and always hungry!! And she was dearly loved!!
