Oakley Cahue

Oakley ("Oaky", "Oakllius Doaklius", "ol girl", "ol oakley") Cahue passed on May 16, 2025. Her favorite toys were balls, anything small, her dino, small gingerbread house, chicken stuffie. Her favorite activities were going for walks/runs, playing and catching toys. Oakley's least favorite activities were baths, nail trims, the vet, medicine (she would refuse anything that had meds in it), fruit, the soft kibble pieces, emilia (her sister here haha). Her favorite place to sleep was with Q. In Loving Memory of Oakley Our dearest Oakley, a spirited and sassy German Shepherd, left us at the age of 11, leaving behind a legacy of love that will forever warm our hearts. Born in early 2014, Oakley came into our lives through Quentin’s dad, who chose her as a loyal companion. From the start, she was the boss—confident, full of personality, and never afraid to let her sassy side shine. Her expressive eyes and commanding presence made it clear she ran the show, and we wouldn’t have had it any other way. When Quentin’s dad passed in 2019, Oakley found a new home with his sister, Kaylee, who cherished her dearly. In early 2022, we welcomed Oakley into our family, and she instantly claimed our hearts as her own. Her unwavering spirit and larger-than-life character filled our days with joy, laughter, and the occasional reminder of who was really in charge. Whether she was bounding through the yard, giving a playful bark (or howls) to keep us in line, or curling up close for a quiet moment, Oakley’s love was a gift we treasured beyond measure. Oakley, you were more than a pet—you were family, a fierce and faithful friend who brought light to every moment. Your strength, sass, and boundless love touched everyone who knew you. We miss you more than words can say, sweet ol’ girl, but we hold tight to the memories of your wagging tail, your knowing glances, and the love that radiated from you. We will carry you in our hearts always, waiting for the day we’ll see you again, bounding toward us with that unmistakable spark, hoping you are the happiest being reunited with your dad. Rest easy, our beloved Oakley. You were truly loved, and you will be forever missed ol girl. We are hoping and waiting for you one day at the rainbow bridge.
