Lexi Carpenter

Lexi ("Lex", "Baby", "Lexilicious") was born January 31, 2007 in a rural town in Central California. She was born into an extended family of animal lovers and met her human parents at just one week old. She had several brothers and sisters and loved playing with them until it was time for her to be with her new parents, Keith and Kimberly. Her parents loved her very much and spoiled her a lot. When she was just 7 months old, she took her first road trip from California to Indiana where she would settle for the rest of her life. Lexi was a very curious puppy and always found amusement in barking at her own reflection, playing in the snow, going for walks, and playing with her favorite little pig toy. She loved to splash in her puppy pool and play fetch, but her favorite activity was trying to catch squirrels that would taunt her in the trees. A year later, Lexi became a big sister to her human brother, Clayton. She loved Clayton very much and while she never had puppies, she had that motherly instinct to love and protect him as if he were her own. Several years later she became a big sister again to her human sister, Candace, and still had that motherly instinct of love and protection with her human siblings. She loved her siblings and her parents more than anything and was always protective and affectionate towards them. As Lexi got older, she still loved going for walks, playing in the stream, and chasing squirrels at Mounds Park. As time moved on, she would unfortunately develop arthritis and diabetes so those favorite activities were now a thing of the past. On July 26, 2022 at 5:30am, Lexi had passed away at home. She is proceeded in death with her parents, Buddy (Pug) and Hannah (Pembroke Welsh Corgi). Her human parents believe she was reunited with her parents and some of her siblings at the rainbow bridge. Lexi was a huge impact on her human family and they loved her more than she could ever know. Her human family and grandparents will always have fond memories and funny stories to help them heal. They know while her physical body is not with them, they can only hope her spirit will visit them from time to time and that she is having so much fun with her family until her human family can be reunited with her again.
