In Loving Memory of Dooey "Doo's" Peacock July 4, 2012 - June 13, 2026 Also affectionately know as: Dooey Armstrong •Dooster •Dooey Dog •Doo Dog •Doo Doos •Dooey Catropolis •Monster •Dooey Monster •Dooey McMonster Face With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our cherished Dooey. Born on July 4, 2012, he filled nearly 14 years with unconditional love, endless laughter, and unforgettable memories. Dooey was the fur son of Dog Mom Adrian and Dog Dad Greg. He is survived by his fur brothers, Boris and Henrry, and was reunited with his beloved fur brother, Boiler. He also joins his fur cousins, Gilbert and Jack, who passed before him. He leaves behind his fur cousin Marvin, his loving Aunt Claire and Uncle Jeff, Grandma Melissa, and is reunited with his Grand-paw Harold, who passed away in 2021. As a puppy and throughout his younger years, Dooey earned the nickname "Monster" thanks to his boundless energy and enthusiastic personality. Whether he was sprinting through the backyard, soaring after Frisbees, or roughhousing with his fur brothers and countless canine friends, he was always ready tobe ornery. He had a mischievous streak and was often described as "stubborn" or "bullheaded," descriptions that couldn't have been more fitting. Adrian adopted Dooey when he was just eight weeks old after a friend's relative's dog had a litter of puppies. She wasn't looking for a puppy at the time, but everything changed the moment she saw him. Baby Dooey had managed to get himself stuck between a dog crate and the wall. He grunted and squirmed, trying with all his might to free himself before finally giving up and falling asleep. Adrian couldn't resist rescuing him from his predicament, and from that day on, we would sing, "And they call it... puppy love," to him on a regular basis. Although he enjoyed spending time outdoors, and being Adrian's fur-ever Co-Pilot on car rides, Dooey was truly a homebody. His favorite place was wherever his family was, and he found comfort in the familiar sights, sounds, and routines of home. Over the years, the wild little "Monster" gradually slowed down, trading endless zoomies for long naps, quiet moments with his family, and peaceful afternoons soaking up the sunshine. His playful spirit never disappeared, it simply grew gentler with age. Dooey especially loved the warmth of summer. Convincing him to come inside on sunny days was never easy. One of his favorite places was stretched out on the bed after Greg opened the bedroom curtains, happily soaking up every ray of sunshine. Winter, however, was another story. He would get geared up in his snow boots and cozy sweaters, including one lovingly knitted by his Aunt Claire, for quick trips outside. Then returning indoors to be tucked beneath several blankets until he was warm again. As he grew older, Dooey became the perfect host. He welcomed everyone who walked through the front door with quiet acceptance and a gentle spirit. Whether they were lifelong friends, new visitors, or fellow four-legged companions, Dooey made everyone feel at home with his calm presence and wagging tail. Dooey was the last surviving member of the family's beloved "Core Four" grand-dogs, who shared so many special moments with Grandpaw Harold. Being the last of the four was a bittersweet reminder of the countless memories they created together while Harold was still with us. Those memories will forever be cherished and will continue to bring smiles for years to come. Though we are saddened to see him go, we are deeply grateful for the tail wags, games of Frisbee, ear scratches that brought out his "happy groans" of relaxation, sunny afternoons, greetings at the front door, and every cuddle he gave. Thank you, Doo's, for your loyalty, playful spirit, gentle heart, and unwavering love that made our lives better with you in it.
