Cooper Huff

Cooper (“Coopy”, “Mommy’s Baby”) Huff became a part of our family on June 15, 2015. He passed away December 31, 2022. He is survived by his mommy Heather Huff and his daddy Tom Huff. His human sister Kayla Huff and human brother Kodey Huff. He also has a fur brother named Bruno, whom he had a hard time getting along with. Cooper’s most favorite human in the world, besides his family, was his Mimi Rachel. He had a special spot in his heart for all his human grandparents, but his Mimi Rachel was his favorite!! He would go to her house when we couldn’t take him on vacation and would facetime us with Mimi right there with him. He was heartbroken when we lost her in September of 2022. His favorite toys were: his rubber chicken and pink ball. He loved to play fetch, even though he was really bad at giving you the toy so you could throw it for him. He also had a banana toy that had a dog head on it. He would take that toy , cover it up in the blanket and “put it to bed” with it covered up and head laying on the pillow. He liked burying his toys in the blankets and trying to find them. His favorite activities were: receiving treats after pottying, he would sit then shake with a bent wrist. He LOVED to go camping!! He always had to go out to the camper when we would pack it up, and if you mentioned, “Ready to go camping, Cooper?” he would run around whining wanting to go right then. He also LOVED going to Mimi's house. You couldn’t mention that either without him whining and getting really excited! He loved laying beside his mommy and daddy every night when we would wind down for the evening. He would sit up on the kitchen chair when someone would get up, just waiting for that person to finish their dinner. He never left any of us alone in a room. Least favorite would be: trimming his nails, and taking a bath. He hated to be cold! He always would slant his head when we would leave the house. He knew when it was time for us to leave, because he would jump up in the chair by the door and lay down till we returned. His favorite places to sleep were: on the couch on top of a blanket, with his mommy and daddy, and on the couch with his mommy. He also would travel around to all the beds in the house to sleep with us and both his human siblings, especially when one of us was sick. Our favorite memories of Cooper are: Riding in the car and going camping . He enjoyed dressing up for Halloween and sitting next to us as we passed out candy to Trick or Treaters. He LOVED Christmas! It was so much fun getting ready for Christmas wrapping presents, as he would sit right at the edge of the paper just watching us making sure we didn't make a mistake. He couldn’t wait till Christmas morning! He would get his gifts and open them like a human, but with his teeth, spitting out the paper as he tore it apart. He always laid in the chair or on the couch with one of us. Always wanted to be covered up with the blanket you were using. We were very blessed to have such an amazing dog for the short 7 years of his life. Wish we could have had him longer. He was our best friend, our family's comforter and was always there when we needed a shoulder to cry on. He completed our family! He will be truly missed and loved dearly. Rest in peace, until we meet again Coopy.
