Lillie Hough-Southerland

Lillie was the fur baby to Sierra Hough, Tiffany Southerland and Brandon Johnson. She was born in April 2005. She became part of the family when Sierra's first-grade teacher told her students that her dog had puppies. As Tiffany shared, "Out of all the puppies, Lillie chose us. She came and laid across my feet. I knew then she was ours." Lillie loved playing with toys, especially playing tug-of-war. She had lots of stuffed toys, but she would never tear them up. They always stayed together until her fur brother, Bo, came along. He destroyed all toys! Lillie loved her toys, but she loved her family the most. She would sleep at the end of Tiffany's bed, but when she left for work, Lillie would always lay inbetween Sierra's and Brandon's bedroom doors. She was a good protector. She loved to cuddle, especially if someone in the family didn't feel well. Lillie always knew. Lillie did not like car rides! When it was time for the vet, it was definitely a stressful time for her and her family. She also hated taking baths. As her fur mom writes, "I think we all ended up just as wet as she did!" Lillie had many nicknames: Lillie girl, Lillers, and even Willie. She answered to them all. Lillie had two fur siblings, dog brother, Bo, and cat brother, Fat Cat. She also had some friends next door who adored her. Boiler Up! Lillie was a true Purdue fan! Her best friend, Sierra, was the reason for that! As her fur mom shared, "Lillie was our best friend, our family, and the one we could always count on to be there to help us through whatever we were going through. She will be truly missed by us and many others!"
