Barkes Bravo Something About Bella (a/k/a Bella) crossed over the Rainbow Bridge on April 29, 2020. Nicknamed Bella Boo, Bella Boo Bear and Pooper, she was the beloved fur baby of Lino and Dawn Francescon. Bella's pet parents shared a lovely tribute about their beautiful girl: Our sweet, gentle Bella. How do we encapsulate all the memories we have had with you over the past twelve and a half years in a few short paragraphs? You came into our lives in the fall of 2007, a little white ball of fur. We had only had you for two days when we took you on your first road trip to Bloomington to tailgate at The Bucket game. Everyone wanted to pet you, and your mommy made each person use hand sanitizer as you had not yet had all your shots. Everyone thought we were crazy, but we loved and wanted to protect you. Throughout your life we shared many road trips, such as going to Florida or up to Michigan, or just across town. Your Poppy was always researching and looking for new parks and trails to explore on weekends. You also loved spending time with your peeps at the dog park. We took you everywhere as we were not complete without you. In true Lab fashion, you provided us with many episodes of “What did she just eat?!?” resulting sometimes in trips to the vet. In your life, you faced some health challenges, but you would never have known. You took everything with such grace, and you were such a gentle spirit. You left this earth on April 29, 2020. Your favorite toys included your collection of tennis balls, Skinneez animals and your squeaker frog. Your favorite place to sleep was on the sofa and in front of the patio door on a sunny day. Your favorite activities included eating (after all you were a Lab), fetching your tennis ball, walks and exploring new trails with your best buddy (Poppy), basking in the yard on a sunny spring day, chasing leaves in the fall, making dog angels in the snow, assisting in the kitchen during meal prep and being loved on by your Mommy and Poppy. You were always up for any adventure unless it involved getting your ears cleaned. Some of our favorite memories are the simplest – seeing your beautiful face first thing in the morning and the last thing at night, hearing your tail thump with excitement when you would see us, going for walks, meeting us at the door when we would come home from work, your love of playing in mud puddles, keeping us entertained with your many sleeping positions and those big, brown eyes and soft-as-silk ears. It is so hard to believe that you are no longer on this earth. You will forever be in our hearts my sweet girl! You taught us to be better people - to live in the moment, love deeply and not to take material possessions too seriously. We cherished each moment with you. Until we see each other again our beautiful girl.
